Our commitment
Betting should be entertainment, not a way to make money or escape problems. Crystal Sport is committed to keeping gambling safe and fair, and to protecting people who may be at risk of harm. This page explains the tools we offer, how to recognise problem gambling, and where to get help.
You must be 18 or older to bet. Underage gambling is illegal and strictly prohibited.
Stay in control — practical tips
- Set a budget before you play, and only bet what you can afford to lose.
- Treat any money you bet as the cost of entertainment, not an investment.
- Don't chase losses. Trying to win back money you've lost usually makes things worse.
- Don't bet when upset, stressed, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Take regular breaks, and keep gambling in balance with the rest of your life.
- Never borrow money to bet.
Tools we provide
You can manage your play directly under Account → Responsible Gambling:
- Deposit limits — cap how much you can deposit per day, week, or month.
- Stake / spend limits — limit how much you can bet over a period.
- Loss limits — cap your net losses over a period.
- Time-out — take a short break during which you cannot bet.
- Self-exclusion — exclude yourself for 6 months or longer. During self-exclusion we will close access to betting, take reasonable steps to prevent you opening new accounts, and stop gambling marketing to you.
- Reality checks / activity history — review your betting and transaction history at any time.
Limit *decreases* usually take effect immediately; *increases* take effect after a short cooling-off period so decisions aren't made in the heat of the moment.
Recognising problem gambling
Gambling may be becoming a problem if you:
- Spend more time or money than you intended, or than you can afford;
- Chase losses or bet to win back money;
- Borrow money, sell things, or neglect bills to fund gambling;
- Lie about or hide your gambling;
- Feel anxious, guilty, or irritable about gambling, or when trying to stop;
- Let gambling affect your work, studies, relationships, or wellbeing.
If several of these feel familiar, please consider using our tools above and reaching out for support.
Self-assessment
If you're unsure whether gambling is affecting you, the checklist above can help. You can also contact our support team to talk it through in confidence.
Getting help and support
If gambling is causing you or someone you know harm, support is available:
- Talk to someone you trust — a friend, family member, or your doctor.
- Contact our support team at support@crystalsport.ng or +234 805 616 4754 (Monday–Sunday, 8am–9pm WAT). We can help you set limits, take a time-out, or self-exclude.
- If you are in immediate distress or crisis, please contact your local emergency services.
Protecting people close to you
If you're worried about someone else's gambling, or want to stop a family member accessing gambling, contact us via our Contact page. We can explain self-exclusion and, where appropriate and lawful, the options available to you.
Keeping under-18s safe
Betting is strictly for adults (18+). We verify the age of every customer before they can bet. If you share devices with under-18s, please use device-level parental controls and keep your login details private. If you believe a minor is using our Platform, contact us immediately via our Contact page.
How we support responsible gambling
- We verify age and identity before allowing betting.
- We provide the control tools listed above.
- We monitor for signs of harmful play and may contact you or apply protective measures.
- We train relevant staff to handle responsible-gambling concerns.
- We keep gambling advertising and promotions responsible and not targeted at vulnerable people or minors.
